During his life changing trip to the USA in 1992, he saw pro skateboarders riding through the streets on the hills of San Francisco. Heavily inspired, he got back to Poland dreaming of his first street skateboard, which was hard to get. The very next year the gift arrived but it was destroyed in just few minutes while trying to ollie, the choice of plastic trucks was not a good option (respect goes out to Alan Gelfand!).

The next wave was the screening of 411 vhs tape that changed his life forever. Every day after school, hanging around with his crew he started progressing from 2 cm ollies to 5 board height jump, first slides and crooked grinds. Attending Mentor Skateboarding Session, watching many [sv]videos, watching pros like Eryk Gaj kickflip over a chain by the Gromada Hotel into drop with smooth roll away on the cobblestone and reading INFO Magazine kept the riding going on & on. Now having ollie over lying 10 boards in his arsenal, pictured during Skateboarding Day 2021 in UMK spot in Toruń, rock’n’rolls on abandoned Miniramp in Moracco’s fisherman town Imsouane, he continues to spread the passion to his students as an international instructor.
During winters, finding the warm pipes under the sidewalk near the Millenium Bank on Chełmińska street and indoor skatepark gave a few opportunities to ride offseason. In 1998 while walking the Main Street in Toruń, he saw in the TV behind the window of sport’s shop a contest named X-Games plus edits of Peter Line and Terje Haakonsen to name a few. After finding great alternative to winter riding the board, at 15 years old he switched from skis to snowboarding and never looked back.

Every Sunday the parents weren’t happy when at 7:50pm he changed the news to the local channel to see the jumps and grabs in the polish scene. Later on Mack Dawgs Productions, Tech Nine movies with favourite MFM aka Marc Frank Montoya and then polish freestyle movies from MEPtv (yo Józefina i Artur) were in constant rotation. First jams and first prizes, first trips as snowboarding instructor with Student Camp and winning podium in Zero Gravity in Laax to being sponsored by clothing brands. Freedom that can’t be stopped.
